Plus, Mariah was never a powerhouse vocalist. Her voice never had the power or volume that Whitney's does. That is NOT to say that whitney is better or worse than mariah. They are different. Mariah is an RNB artist and Whitney is a classic powerhouse balladeer. Whitney's losing her voice too now and relies on autotune on every song of her new album because of all that crack. She wheezes heavily when she takes a breath in interviews. It's sad how worn down Mariah and Whitney have gotten over time

Idiot - go listen to the Butterfly album. It's not 60% studio enhancements. Yes, her voice is deteriorating because of age and probably lots of alcohol, but she was not a studio bunny in the late 90's or even during charmbracelet or TEOM. 2008 her voice was very weak she didn't take care of it. SirOpulence, that "whisper" stuff is called falsetto. I LOVE it on the butterfly album. It's an album with more substance than anything previously.

I think MC2 was rushed, but TMB did go to #1 so somebody was feelin it. It had it's cuts too though, Bye Bye, 4Real 4Real, I Wish U Well...
After hearing H8 U, I think she'll beat the Beatles, and this cd if Dream does it all may be better than MIMI. The buzz is sick btw, I think everyone wants her to smash that #1s record

Yeah Songs like "There goes My heart" The Roof are songs that shows Mariahs low register/Whisper voice...I love it! I mean we all know Mariah can sing so why does she have to do high notes on every song?? Her voice has different textures!
