Fine group - should've fired the bass player for not tuning it (or knowing the song!!). I'd like to hear the album version that was discussed....

Correction! I went back and checked the Relic LP version and found that it is the same original sound material, but remixed (probably by Little Walter in Boston) to bring out some of the elements that are slightly hidden in the 45, making it, to my ears, a better listening experience, sez I.

One of my favorite songs, and one I have taught to groups I have sung with. However, I have this on the Relic LP, which presents a different take than this 45. I prefer the LP version, because everything is slightly more developed - lyric, smoothness, drum and chord changes, better guitar part. It's a little hard to believe that they went with this take for the 45. Other posts have the Relic take if you want to compare the two...
