Varand is one of the celebrated Armenian poets of our time. He has published 24 collections of poetry since 1972 and is the recipient of several international Armenian literary awards.

A dear and modest friend since childhood, Varand has brought a new inspiration to the Armenian contemporary literature.

I am uploading this poem reading by Ayda Asatryan as an introductory to several other poems from his Tango-21 collection that would become available for those who are interested and love the Armenian poetry.

In addition, I would also upload several old songs, performed by artists such as Andre Valian and Andre Danik, with lyrics written by Varand in the near future.

This clip was the inspiration and beginning of all the efforts I made to make Varand poetry and literary works known to the world. In the past 2 years, I have produced 550+ of his poem readings in digital audio format (over1500min.) read by Aida Asaturyan in Yerevan. This is by far, the largest collection of Armenian poem readings for a single poet in the history!

Presently, working on his 27 books to be published in PDF format online.
