@sarah03ful Sarah, I guess you need to read the whole of John 1 again and probably again. As a woman yourself, do women give birth to natures or beings with nature?
The Catholic Church has NEVER taught that Mary is the Mother of God in the sense of being the Creator of God. God is without beginning or end. Yes, Mary is a creature but is also the creature that God the Father choose among women to become the flesh giver to the Word (Jesus Christ). Mary is called Theotokos or God bearer .

John 1:1 says " In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God and the Word was with God", and John 1:14 says, 'the Word became flesh(Jesus)", so Jesus already existed before Mary was even created, Jesus created Mary, so why would you say Mary is the mother of God?
Mary was the vessel through which Jesus became man but Jesus is God, God does not have a mother.
In luke 11:27-28 Jesus refused to exalt Mary, so no, Jesus does not command us to exalt her, these r catholic lies
