  • this is not super accurate, i have one and it is way more silent than a normle pellet gun but it is still pretty loud. they dont have good noise on this tape, but it is a really great gun and i would recemend it to anyone that wants to by a pellet gun because it is easy to cock and and it is very accurate and it is great for pretty good sised small game haha. i shot a huge rabbit in our back yard and it went in the rabbits ear and out his 4 head (we did eat it).

  • What you have to remember is that no video camera audio will ever replace real true life sound. The camera used supports dolby digital surround sound and I recorded at various distances and angles. Yes, I do agree though that this sound test does not do this rifle its justice as in real life the rifle is much qiueter.

  • Soda Can Sound

  • @chance1234asdf Mmm Rabbit.

  • I see a lot of comments on line about the Gamo Whisper being "loud" and not quiet. What folks don't understand is It's NOT the gun that's loud, it's the ammunition. The PBA Raptor rounds Gamo makes are SUPERSONIC rounds. The "crack" we hear when we use them is the PBA Raptor ammo breaking the sound barrier. I have found Switching to a heavier, standard lead pellet, around 9-10 grams, and you won't hear that crack.

  • Cool test 5/5

  • @chance1234asdf still alot louder than a marauder. ive fired them and regular brak barrels. for example,an rws 34 is quite loud in comparison, but if someone wants silent, this is not the gun

  • my gamo whisper is pretty loud if you put it by the scope where the air releases.

  • @sampope1990 this gun still brakes the sound barrier without the preformance balistic ammo but a the pba amo is loader

  • I stand corrected on my previous comment. The gun is not what is loud, it is the PBA ammo. The PBA ammo is supersonic and breaks the sound barrier. Standard lead pellets are much much quieter.

  • I just bought the standard whisper and I love it. It's an incredibly accurate pellet rifle with good knockdown power. As far as sound goes, it is just as loud as any other pellet rifle I have ever shot. For me, the fact that it is loud is not that big of a deal, but Gamo's claim that your neighbor will no be able to hear you shooting is ridiculous. Maybe if you're neighbor lived 5 miles away.

  • and you have to remember you are right there next to the gun when you shoot it is just really loud right there if u were a critter and you heard this its really quiet
