This knife is named after the river which flows through the northern part of Dagestan and past the city of Kizlyar out to the Caspian Sea.
Surrounding the Terek and its tributaries are many swamps and marshes making good breading ground for ducks, geese, wild pigs and other game animals. Designed primarily for skinning medium game and light camp work the Terek features a rounded tip with a blade that is fashioned with a downward angle, allowing better control for skinning and to slice smoothly between the flesh and skin. The handle is crafted from Caucasian walnut and is pinned to the handle with five brass pins, while the blade and other fittings ( being the guard ) are mirror polished. The sheath is of heavy, hand stitched black leather.

Total length: 255 mm
