I was there 69-73-lived on Grubbs drive-went to hook road. Dad worked at base supply-learned to surf there-remember the skating rink, 3 walls, blue light, seaview service club hill, surfer, survival, borinquin beaches.
I embedded this video at Ramey.Me and it will be talked about in our Ramey.Me newsletter, that is if you don't mind. Ramey.Me is a new group formed inside the Borinquen.Co network. Thank you for sharing.

I used to go there all the time with my family. mYdad used to do business with the base and was allowed to use the base facilities/guest housing. Me and my sister used to walk/ ride bycicles all over the base and meet other young kids from all over. I loved it so much I became a Navy pilot for a few years and the a physician...I have incredible memories of this place...best of times!!!
I DOUBT TODAYS MILITARY MEMBERS AND FAMILIES HAVE IT THIS GOOD NOWADAYS !!!! Thanks you so much !!!!!!!!
>>rocabear.....I too was in PR from 69-71 and went to E Street Elem. Mr. Hunt was my teacher. I recall having classes on the lawn at school sometimes. I was in 4th grade then, and my dad worked at the Hospital on base. :)
Remember Crash Boat beach.....this is STILL my FAV beach in the world...went to visit this past Aug 2010 for 2 weeks :D
I lived in Puerto Rico from 1969 to 1971 (age 7 to 9) when my Dad was stationed at Ramey AFB. We lived in Mayaguez, Aguadilla, Annex 1, and A Street. I went to Hook Road school, and then E Street School.
I lived on C street at Ramey in 1963-64. My memory is not real good but our next door neighbors were the Seiberts'. I think there were six children. Sure would like to see Janet again, we rode horses together.
So glad to find this on youtube...we lived on Circle C at Ramey and I think that the boy riding on the bike was in my third or fourth grade class....Mike Cooter (?) at Ramey. Miss Larkin was my third grade teacher and Mrs. Hays was my fourh grade teacher.
