Without doubt the star of this years Air Tattoo, it looked like the Vulcan was lost to airshows for good. However after a lot of hard work it returned in 2008 and made RAF Fairford this year. Sadly a possible lack of money may once again see it dissapear from the skies. Hopefully it will still be around for years to come so enjoy watching this classic British Aircraft.

  • @stormspinner1 Which make of Vulcan is that? There is a XL361 Vulcan B.2 on static display in my base, but I've never seen any others up close. The XL361 has a windowed cockpit, and a periscope looking downward on each wing. Your comment has me wondering now if there is a periscope under the cockpit, I guess I'll have to check it out!

  • OH my gosh, I haven't seen one of these since 1983! One was on static display at Carswell Air Force Base (now NAS Fort Worth), during their annual air show - got to climb up and see inside - do you know there are no windows in the cockpit? They use a periscope! Amazing aircraft, 5/5 stars and an add to my "Veterans' playlist. Thank you so much for uploading this incredible aircraft!
