  • colorsanding is the name for sanding the clear coat. you should not color sand single stage paint because the color and the clear are mixed together, so if you sand to much you can burn through the color meaning you need to repaint. most newer cars today use a 2 stage base coat clear coat type paint. you should check with the dealers paint dept. to confirm your paint type. hope that helps

  • most all cars have paint that cant be color sanded and buffed.

  • Can you please explain how you color sand a base coat/clear coat? Isn't the Lexus in the video a base coat/clear coat car? Or do you mean something else when you said color sanding in the video? If a scratch is only in the clear coat it might be ok to sand it down with 2500 and then polish, Is that what you are doing?
