SpaceFest! 2011 (Official Aftermovie)

A short recollection of the first edition of SpaceFest! www.spacefest.pl

The first edition of SpaceFest! festival was held in Gdansk in December 2011. It comprised of concerts, workshops for professional musicians ran by Ray Dickaty (ex-Spiritualized) and Karol Schwarz (KSAS, Prawatt), meetings with artists and a competition for young bands.
Among the shoegaze, space-rock and alternative bands that played gigs on 9-10 December in Laznia CCA and Fabryka Batycki there were: White Noise Sound, Ścianka, Jaime Harding (Marion), Simon Scott (ex-Slowdive), Klimt, Manescape, Fuka Lata. The performance by Pure Phase Ensemble -- the collective of 13 musicians playing songs composed during the workshop was certainly the climax of the festival.
