  • @shotgunsurgeon23 Go for it, it doesn't really cost anything to try, and it's fun to do.

  • To be honest... This is a stock Bushmaster p97 carbon 15 pistol. The lower is registered as a pistol lower, and that buffer tube is a patented Bushmaster system. The buffer and spring are not held into the tube with a detente like a standard AR-15, the p97 buffer actually fits snugly into the bolt carrier and rides the bolt both backward and forward. The bolt carrier is actually shorter on the p97 than your standard AR-15 The upper can receive a regular bolt too, but you will need a regular tube
