Jerry Goldsmith - Greatest Hits

My absolute favorite Jerry Goldsmith soundtracks are from In Like Flint and Breakheart Pass. So beautiful and melodic. I do love them all, though. Thanks for this video.

Thank you very much for sharing this. It is a great sample of the incredible work of the late great Jerry Goldsmith. I wish you would have included the Star Trek Voyager Theme that won him an Emmy award also. He left us with a legacy of great music and his son Joel to carry on the tradition.

Is it just me, or does the clip from Total Recall sound like a rejigged version of Poledouris' theme from Conan the Barbarian?!

yep, the sounds in Planet of the Apes is just a great example of his genius. To me, his music and sounds in that movie was close or equal to the special effects and makeup that helped carry the film. Of course, the story was great as well, so just a great film in all areas.
