FFVI is the first ACTUAL Final Fantasy game I ever owned (FFTA doesn't count). I personally like it over FF7 for a few reasons:

1. I own FFVI. I don't own FFVII to this day. Herp derp.

2. VI has the best graphics of its type (pixelated). VII was early on in the polygon era and it wasn't as nice on the eyes, I felt, as VI was.

3. The sheer amount of otaku love for FFVII and the amount of fanfics and even movies for it disgusts me. VI was good too. VII must've killed old memories.

@thejesman I would agree with you on every point,but I've seen way too much,frankly,ignorant championing of the game to think that it isn't still overhyped.Most people who understand the issue have valid opinions,but the casual person just knows that a lot of people who have big magazines about games said that FFVII is the best game ever,and take that as gospel without ever having played it.I've met people who worship Nomura because he made a character that looks cool.That's not good.

@Necroskull388 Well, I'm not arguing against one in favor of the other, I love them both. And if that's really how you really honestly feel, it's cool, I'm not gonna try to change your mind. A lot of the overreaction to VII just feels phony to me. It was ultra mega popular ten years ago, so of course it's considered ultra mega overrated nowadays. I expect people to think that way. In another ten years, the pendulum'll probably swing back to the other extreme. That's human nature for ya.
