This song isn't saying anything bad about Jesus anyway. It's attacking the greedy televangelists. It's the sort of statement that everyone can agree with. Those people suck.

I don't know why peiople think this is somehow anti-religion or anti-Jesus. It's simply pointing out the shady televangelists out there who promise you an audience with god, miracles and a trip to heaven if you just give them your money. In the meantime they get rich, cheat on their wives and don't follow their own advice. So tongue in cheek. I love this song! Powerful, funny and effective!
