This is a quick video I took of my Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Camouflage before it was sanded and modified. I am sanding it down to the bare wood in order to truly make it a custom. I currently have a Seymour Duncan Invader pickup in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup in the neck. The Jazz pickup sounds amazing clean.

  • Thanks Dillon. You are right. It is not a Gibson. The Gibson version of this guitar costs over $5,000 and is hard to find.

  • Too bad you sanded it. You could've sold it instead of ruining it character. Oh well, what's a couple of grand to the un employed right? Just my 2 cents from some one who has done simular screw ups and not known it till it was too late.

  • Try watching the video before adding your 2 cents.

  • I will be posting a video of the rough sand tonight. I'm sorry it is taking me forever. I am currently unemployed and that has had a big impact on my originally planned guitar budget.

    Have patience my friends.

  • @Abilandry Sometimes you'll get strings buzzing on the back of the TOM bridge because of the sharp angle down to the tailpiece. To avoid this, you could either raise the tailpiece until the strings no longer touch the back of the bridge, or you could just wrap the strings around the tailpiece.

  • @OddTimeMan Whats the pros and cons of stringing it that way?

  • @figger48 Some guitarists have been doing it that way for decades.

  • That's the first time in my entire life I have seen a Tune-O-Matic strung that way.

  • because you put the strings in this way? look al the minute "0:33"

  • @MightyDragon YEA ITS NOT A GIBSON!!! ITS A EPIPHONE, THATS WHAT ITS SAYS ON THE HEADSTOCK!!!(epiphone is "by gibson"; lowr quality guitars for lower price.)

  • If you're going to sand it down and mod it, just get a Standard. You have no idea what I'd do to get my hands on one of these

  • what do u mean ive never heard of that its kool thou can u put a vid up of it or some thing i cant really see the diffrence but plz tell me.
