She did great even at that ripe age. I bet just a few of the current sopranos will ever get there. She will be missed. The world of opera has lost yet another great.

Of course she's great! She was never ANYTHING but great. Joan's standards were very high and she never fell below her best. Today's sopranos should take note. It's easy to be elevated by the press --- much more difficult to SUSTAIN a CAREER, sing well every time, establish standards, give your ALL. I wonder how long the current crop of so-called coloraturas will be around......

This is the Met's old production of Lucia, I believe Devia has sung Lucia at the Met before but whether it was in this particular production I have no idea :D
