On a whim, I constructed this video as a tribute to the late James Doohan, who played Scotty on Trek -- this spans his career in the fleet, in roughly chronological order.

  • Curious that most of the scenes picked to "remember" Scotty, show him drinking and/or drunk. Typical Scottish sterotyping. When they get around to making a tribute to Kirk, no doubt most scenes will show him bare chested or fighting or trying to score with some babe.

The original StarTrek could have been so much better, if done in the 80's with decent special effects and props. Looking back almost commical with the super cheesy set they had to use.

  • Classic!!!

  • Beautifully poignant tribute. Well done.

  • I always like that the Engineer of the ship was "Scottish".

"You didna tell im the truth, did you laddie boy?" my favorite Scottie line.

So much was summed up in that line....

  • @actonbath you forgot to mention he's Canadian.

  • @UmbrellaWatch oo ok, thanks!

  • @genericusername337 from star trek the next generation, episode called "relics" :) was a good one to.

  • Those who, and are many, were like Scotty made in America, die hards and stood and held the line in what the believed in , either here or someplace else. I truly think Doohan knew this and that is the great adventure. peace

  • where's the clip with older scotty on the ship by himself from?

  • This is so beautiful! What a perfect tribute to a fantastic actor and beloved character-
