In a 73 Chevy C20. The locking mechanism is used in all non-auto locks.

Found the keys and locks at the Junk Yard.
Cost- less than $5

  • @350oldschool Thanks, man. Well, I'd hafta see it. What you can do is cut away the sheet metal. It's not structural. Just cut out what you need to see and get a hand in there.

  • Great vid for people that restore--classic trucks-have 75 C10-door wont open with key or by pulling lock rod- going to dig deeper--may be something in the rod ass.that latch that moves up that unlocks it to the post-any one have this problem--door locked -can't get to the screws that hold the locking mechanism in place.

  • @Colin415atyotube Hellyeah! Fuckin A. I appreciate that!

  • @Colin415atyotube Very good vids and again thanks! It's people like you who make my job easier!

  • @Colin415atyotube Thanks Yo!

  • Ur awsome! love the intro!

  • @MrBaldridge1988 Damn. Well...It never hurts to cut away some of the non structural sheet metal. Depends on how badly you wanna save 50 bucks. haha. Good luck mang.

  • @ELCHEAPOdiy they aint power but i cant even see the lock cylinder and all the holes are to small for my arms to fit in lol

  • @MrBaldridge1988 Hmmm. You got power locks huh? If they don't work it could be a few things. The actuators should be the same (conceptually) as the one I installed. You could have a bad switch, loose/corroded wires. Find out what you need. You got keys that work manually? If so, mess around with the wires and see what the deal is. Find a switch from an old s10 and change it out using the same wiring. If that doesn't work. Buy a new set, photocopy the directions and return that shiat.

  • wish it was that easy on my 91 s10 any tips on how to change mine

  • Mornin ROSGOE. hehe
