"One Nation Under Lee" Screening Pt 1

On May 17th 2008, Singaporean democracy activist congregated at Peninsular-Excelsior Hotel for a private screening of the film "One Nation Under Lee". As the filmmakers have yet to submit the film for censoring, authorities from the Media Development Authority (MDA) of singapore attempted to seize the video and halt the screening of the film.

@curiousboy "Forced" to serve. Anything that is "forced" is poor treatment.
"No on in their right mind would do it" Tell that to the patriotic people in every country.

If it's not mandatory no one in the right mind will do it.
That's why it is termed as National service ... servicing the nation.
Forced to serve = poor govt treatment ? where's the relationship in that?

@curiousboy It's NS. Of course it serves only the country's interests and not the individual. That's a given and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. What I do have a problem with is that it is mandatory. Whether to serve in the military should be voluntary and a personal decision. If Singaporeans are forced to serve, I don't think they'll be as effective in battle because of being of poor government treatment.
