  • she is the voice of god's angel on earth, and she is from the holly land of god!!!!!

  • She is original and I don't care how many Barbara's are out there. Every song I have heard her sing she totally makes her own, I do not think she wishes she was anyone. The make-up was the style of the day Striesand did not create it she just went along with it Black eyeliner was in

  • always loved her version of the Beatles' song. I seem to recall that the original recording she did was semi-operatic and wonderful.

  • always loved her version of the Beatles' song

  • Where is she???

  • super!

  • She pulls you into the song, the experience as if you were there at the kitchen table greiving yet your heart is racing for the girl to run, to run from something denied her "...so many years."

  • I have always thought Esther was wonderful I saw her at the Albert Hall in 1972 or 3 can't remember a lifetime ago. The eye make up was so much better than anyone elses in the '60 (even mine lol) she did not copy anyone, as it has been said it was the fashion and everyone wore it. But actually Dusty Springfield made it popular.

  • Women in The Middle East used Kohl to outline their eyes long before we did, you could say she was an original! I remember watching her perform this when I was small, I was fascinated!

  • I've only become a fan of Esther in the last 2 years. I was searching for a Hollies song a came across her version of A Taste of Honey. It has become the song to which I return more often than any other. I'm continually astounded by her voice and her unique performance. It seems so effortless.
