Enjoy this video of El Chicano as they jam with legendary percussionists Poncho Sanchez and Victor Pantoja at the Pete Perez benfit concert on November 15, 2009 at the Poloma Room in Montebello, California.
@intrance77 I agree that Mickey sounds really great and original!! If you check out my vids I just recorded him playing with the band last month. But I wont go as far as to say this dude sucks but I will agree that he is no Mickey Lespron thats for sure.
Where's original guitarist Mickey Lespron on this vid? His playing defined the sound of El Chicano back in the day. The guitar player on this vid sucks! No feel dude. You can hear the tune drop when this guy plays. RIP Rudy.
@humminalong The L.A. Latino, Chicano, Eastside/East L.A. music scene has taken a big loss by way of musicians and voices... Previous To Mr. Pete Perez, we said goodbye to the legend, Isaac Avila of Tierra, and since Pete's tribute, Mr Victor Pantoja playing the congas and sadly Bobby Espinosa of El Chicano playing the keyboards in this video have passed on. So I say to all of my fallen brothers... Rest in Peace, you'll nvr be forgotten, Isaac, Pete, Bobby and Victor... written by Greg Esparza
