First sorry for my language, i'm german ;)
I don't think that Sesshomaru's mother would be very surprised or shocked about her son. She's a demon, too and I remember that she is colder than Sesshomaru. But Kagome's mom... she would be shocked about her daughter, when she attacks someone with her bow or something else xD Izayoi maybe feels sorry, when Inuyasha transforms, because she was the one, who became a hanyou, but I think, she wouldn't be very shocked. She knows his father ^^

And I know all of that XD But when you need mothers in a series and their aren't enough, you go throw the ones you do have completely out of character. ^.^; They won't care. That is, if they can't find you XD

I don't think Sessmom would care much - she doesn't seem to in the manga at least, but poor Izayoi might have a heart attack at seeing what her son has gotten himself into (not only w/ Sesshomaru, but with Naraku and whoever else appeared pointlessly in the story)
