Actually in Africa, many boys do die from circumcision as well - they use one knife for a whole group of boys...you can imagine the infections going around....

Yes having a clitoris makes you want to go with everyone?! WTF?! Where is the education people?!

There is not excuse of FGM. It is a public health issue as well as a misguided cultural identification that has been promoted by controlling men who convinced the women to follow suit. Women suffer from some serious health issues with this barbaric practice.  In America, women are volunteering for vaginal reconstruction so their vagina look like the fancy magazine. It is crazy that we have come to view photo-shopped versions of our anatomy as acceptable.

they want to deny the woman any sexual feelings so she will not be tempted into sin...ha ha. It is disgusting!! Oh and the husband won't have to please her he can just please himself wham bam and thank you mam. the woman gets nothing out of sex but she is supposed to submit to the husband any time he wants it. Disgusting!

Imagine being married and having to have sex with no feeling at all and the man just jumping on you and doing it.  It's disgusting! Never mind to cut a child with no pain killers & subject them to brutal!

How is it that Men always compare it to male circumcision? As soon as they start cutting the Glans of in male circumcision, then we'll compare the two. Boy's do not die from a botched circumcision, girls do.
I am not disagreeing with the fact that both should be stopped, definitely not, but in no way the two are similar!

All circumcision is awful but:

Not quite. And men can still get pleasure afterwords, it's completely ruined for women.
