  • Yes, water will spin and flow better in a vortex when being poured out. But it doesn't require something to force it into that motion. If you put one of these in a bottle and then tried to pour it out it would flow slower than just an open hole. The same is true for the intake on a car. At light throttle there isn't enough airflow for it to be a restriction, or for it to matter, but at full throttle it'll be a restriction and make you loose power.

  • @NBSV1 when you put one of these in the bottle just like you said its like putting it in your exhaust not in the intake.. and have totally no effect in your car system.. puting this in the intake starts the rotary motion of air just like the extra small motion to start the vortex in bottle...

  • @jopinoypower The point is there isn't a part forcing the water to start spinning. It does it on it's own. If you put something in there and try to force it to spin it might spin, but won't flow as well. Something like this is so cheap that if they actually worked they would be on cars from the factory. And, if it's fuel injected and before the MAF it isn't going to work anyway since most of the MAF's are designed to straighten the air flow so it gets a better reading.

  • @NBSV1 you should try it again.. this vortx in the bottle does not start 100% unless u start it with a small force ..... do some reaserch some car have this already...

  • @jopinoypower Yes, but once it starts it keeps going on its own. This isn't a new concept and they would only cost a couple cents to make. So, espically with car makers looking for better mileage they'd be slapping this on everything if they worked. I've never seen one on a factory car. But, I have seen, and tested, several things that are supposed to make more power and at best break even. The joy of working at a shop with a chassis dyno is you get to try out stuff like this. :)

  • @NBSV1 you seems like a smart person.. try to observe the car manufacturer they are buisness minded.. if they make a big leap on fuel efficient car its not good for their buisness.. they need to give it slowly.. go back to car history they always come up with fuel efficient car each year....

  • If it worked - all manufacturers would be fitting them as standard--------------sorry, it does not work.- wish it did.

And if you are convinced it does- lets put £10 grand bet on it and have the car to a scientific testing place.....I could do with some more money for my holidays.

  • What a big pile of dump! Hopefully there will be a second video showing up that one of the fins shared off into the inlet.

  • This works fuel411.info

  • The next new gimic will be no more vortex insert but, rather the intake tube will be like the inside of a miller lite bottle neck. They will claim 200 HP and the sticker it comes with will add 5 more. EPIC FAIL!

  • Oh I see you have built what we call in the manufacturing industry, a cylclone separator. As your fins spin the air in the tube it will separate the heavier fuel from the air by cyntrifigal force.

What a shame though, an engine requires the mixture of fuel and air for top performane, you have just undone all the work the design eng. did for that engine.
