A portable helicopter landing system invented by Utahn Chris Eyring for the "Invented In Utah" Competition. Chris idea came from responding to an accident scene and communicating with the helicopter pilot who said he would not land because he could not discern a suitable landing spot because of all the emergency vehicles flashing lights.
This system makes clear to the aircraft and the ground crew where the helicopter should land.
This video was produce in support of Chris Eyring's efforts by the Skaggs Companies. Video Producer Cris Paulsen.

  • Pretty cool, Chris. It looks great. I look forward to seeing the newest version.

  • Great Idea! As a pilot I know it can take a while to get your bearings as to where objects are when your looking down day or night.
