Love in the Sky: http://www.webdesignhot.com/free-photography/love-clouds-in-the-sky/

as freedom is a breakfastfood
or truth can live with right and wrong
or molehills are from mountains made
—long enough and just so long
will being pay the rent of seem
and genius please the talentgang
and water most encourage flame

as hatracks into peachtrees grow
or hopes dance best on bald men's hair
and every finger is a toe
and any courage is a fear
—long enough and just so long
will the impure think all things pure
and hornets wail by children stung

or as the seeing are the blind
and robins never welcome spring
nor flatfolk prove their world is round
nor dingsters die at break of dong
and common's rare and millstones float
—long enough and just so long
tomorrow will not be too late

worms are the words but joy's the voice
down shall go which and up come who
breasts will be breasts thighs will be thighs
deeds cannot dream what dreams can do
—time is a tree (this life one leaf)
but love is the sky and i am for you
just so long and long enough

  • @FukCommando the poem is discussing the way modern people prefer to stand for the idea of a thing while at the same time having no intention of standing for the thing itself.

For example, most people like to SAY telling the truth is a wonderful thing, but in actuality they make a conscious effort to AVOID doing so in most situations for various reasons.

For a more in-depth understanding of the concept research "Kali Yuga". (Avoid Wikipedia with this one).

  • I think the speaker in the poem is admitting he is a flawed person, and has made a lot of mistakes and changed his mind and all-- but he's saying it's not too late for them (him and the girl he loves) to get back together... and start their relationship afresh.. cause he loves her.

    am i crazy or what?

    anyone else agree?

  • A beautiful reading. Thank you.

  • @fukcommando poems dont need explaining either you understand and like the flow of a poem or you dont its all about how u take it in

  • That was so interseting. All the words seemed jumbled up and opposites and mingling into one another and a bit confusing but warm and loving. Thank you.

  • Wonderful poem.

  • someone explain it please?

  • long enough is too long ?

  • I like the poem, but don't know why.
