@sovjettank The entire conflict is well documented by multiple sources. NATO also joined the condemnation accusing Russia of using excessive force and violating Georgia's territory by taking the military action beyond South Ossetia. Georgia even offered a ceasefire which Russia refused. Obama quote - "Russia is a threat to the peace and stability of the region." Russia used the conflict to disrupt fuel supplies, which would make the West even more dependent on Russian oil.

I suggest you accept reality and stop posting ignorant denials. The South Ossentia (not Ossetya) conflict was active between 1989 and 2008, and is WELL documented. OSCE maintained a general peace between 1992 and 2008. Russia occupied Gori, Kareli, Kaspi and Igoeti, Zugdidi, Senaki and the major Georgian port of Poti.
