Hmm, well it's not the cops' decision to remove people from the forum but that's beside the point. Who created the problem was Meyer. Yes, he was asking a question, but he wasn't letting Kerry answer, he was being rude and obnoxious in general, and it was decided it would be better for everyone if he were to leave. That's when the cops let it get out of hand, but if he was just being a normal guy asking questions in the forum calmly, nothing like this would've happened. Ergo: Meyer's fault.
I think they were just trying to make him leave at first until he was jumping around like alittle girl. If they would of used pepper spray then they would of flooded half the room with it and those girls would of been coughing there way outside and sueing the police. As for other force options due to the all the people and the surrounds very few options were left. Maybe some pain complience with pressure points but that would of made him scream more and probably not get the job done.
I am sickened and shocked by this event. I found it very frightening and I can't watch it again. If you Americans's think it's ok to inflict this pain (could have been worse - I assume/hope this guy was ok) on an un-armed student who was exercising his rights by asking Kerry a question (which Kerry was prepared to answer if you noticed) then I think you need to get off the drugs/fluoride/tv/junk food or whatever has taken away your humanity.
