University of Florida student Andrew Meyer is Tasered and arrested after causing a disturbance at a town hall forum, which featured Senator John Kerry, at the UF Auditorium on Sept. 17, 2007.

Well this just shows police and state elected officials poor ability to resolve issues like normal people. It's almost like I understand that people want to keep their weapons because of fear of the government's ability to govern the country, and this is a sick point of view I know.

It's not a "town hall building." It's a speech by Kerry sponsored by the student group ACCENT & held on UF campus, which has laws much more like private property. He was NOT carried out nor arrested because anyone didn't like his questions. He was carried out for repeated behavioral infractions & they allowed him 3 times the time limit at the mic despite it not even being his turn & that he'd already been told to leave & refused. The drive stun was to safely cuff his arms after numerous warnings

if the police in my country would carry me out of a PUBLIC BUILDING because my questions are not being liked and than tase me, all of them would lose their jobs and the political ambitions of this guy would be over.

he was subdued on the ground 4 police offers on him and couldnt do anything. has is is tasing him "maybe a bit excessive". wake up man.

well if the organisers of the event asked security to vacate the student out of the building and security asked him to leave - he was basically resisting.

under those circumstances and continual resistance being tasered maybe excessive but whoop there it is.
