University of Florida student Andrew Meyer is Tasered and arrested after causing a disturbance at a town hall forum, which featured Senator John Kerry, at the UF Auditorium on Sept. 17, 2007.

You didn't see him kicking, flailing, cussing & grabbing a chair so they couldn't cuff him, while cops calmly held him, saying over & over "sir, quit fighting or we'll use the taser"? Or before that where they tried to get him to walk out peacefully, but he was shoving them, yelling about being arrested despite them making no effort or statement to arrest him at that point? Or them telling him his time was up & he blew a gasket? Never mind the stuff that got him kicked out BEFORE the video

You make good points in general, but in THIS case the kid was given chance anfter chance after chance. No way you can watch this, especially if you have read the witness reports and transcripts (so you know this is just a small edited portion of the whole) & not say that it is Meyer who escepated everything. It wasn't even the guy's turn & he'd already told off the kids running the event, yet they still tried to let him have a turn at the mic. He blew his chance, most likely for the cameras

Problem is, just listening to him you'd think he was being attacked, beaten and falsely arrested. Actually watching gives a different picture.

Well this just shows police and state elected officials poor ability to resolve issues like normal people. It's almost like I understand that people want to keep their weapons because of fear of the government's ability to govern the country, and this is a sick point of view I know.

U.S. law enforcement and government continues to amaze me how badly they act in mind of the position and power they have been given in society.
