  • will your existing trigger kits work in the new XD(M) 5.25 Competition model??

  • @veilofpaya

Yes but you should take a look at out new Drop-in xdm trigger kit. No fitting required and the results are similar just a touch more trigger travel.

  • which kit is this showing?

  • @OregonBackpacker

This is our match target easy fit kit. This video was shot before we released our ultimate line of trigger kits. The big improvement with the new kit is the method of over travel stop. It uses a new trigger with a integral over travel stop.

  • How many pound is the upgraded trigger?

  • @fantasticHorus

Typical pull weight with the kits are 3.5-4.5 lbs. In house trigger jobs we can go down to as low as 2.5 lbs

  • Bought one for my XDM 5.25 and had it installed by a gunsmith. He had to file down the travel stopper to make it work. My trigger now looked like the stock trigger. Very disappointed with my purchase. Wasted $165 for the trigger and $60.00 installation.

  • OMG! I didn't buy a XD cuz I didn't like the trigger compared to the glock but the fit was much better. Now I might buy it because if makes the XD have a glock trigger, then IMO it would be a much better gun/feel than the glock for my hands!

  • I ordered the kit with the new composite trigger on Sunday Nov 6. Had it in hand and installed it on Wednesday night. I have to say, I am impressed. I was going to trade in my xd9 for a Ruger SR9 or a Glock 19 (both have great triggers). After installing the kit, I will probably still buy a Glock at some point ;) but I am definitely keeping the XD-9. Easy to install, only had to sand the over travel block a bit (do this slowly). Kept me from wanting to trade in my XD.

  • dont have time to read all the comments to find out where you got the trigger. just got my XD 40 and i want the trigger. where did you purchase it and how did you do that to your pistol grip. thanks

  • Wouldn't it void your warranty?

  • @JimmyGunXD556 Both company's parts are of at least the same quality as factory. I installed a SP kit in my 45 and I like it, but for my 9 I sent it to PR for them to install and fine tune it for me. Should be an interesting comparison

  • I am looking to get a Springer Precision kit or a Powder River. I am a big fan of the phrase if it ain't broke dont fix it. But I am interested in how tight these kits make the trigger. Im just affriad I will loose reliability with theses "race" parts. What is your take on that? Thanks

  • I can see that the travel is greatly reduced. My question is does the travel START further back after this mod? My fingers are very short, and anything that would help with reaching the trigger at rest would be a boon.
