  • MY first GD concert was at The Uptown Theater in the 70's, and my last was in Memphis, TN on April Fool's Day weekend in 1995....What a Long Strange Trip It's Been. I don't know, it Musta Been The Roses cuz I Was Playin' In The Band with Uncle John, as Casey Jones and TN Jed were watching the Fire On The Mountain. I called myself Sugar Magnolia and danced On Shakedownstreet with Peggyo and Althea amongst the Scarlet Begonias. You gotta have Good Lovin...ohhhhhh I could Ramble on Rose.......

  • I was at this show, I loved the '77 shows.Thanks, RedneckHippies!

  • @rickstorer It's all subjective anyhow, and I know more about Jams than most :) I can go lick for lick with some pretty bad cats, I'm no Charlie Parker, but who is?

  • @TheArchiveOfWonder You don't know shit about jams, obviously. Nom Sayin?

  • its so great to have a 77 show with video. jerry is groovin'!!

  • the greatest daze of DEAD dog star wonder bread retro disco Jerry Gar-CIA LSDism

  • Kinda starts a bit slow, Jerry's solo is pretty nice here though.

  • Magical 1977 Grateful Dead

    Top of their game

  • The 70's was the best for me. Jerry was animated - trying new things - the rhythm section was strong enough Jerry could do whatever he wanted and they made it sound good.. I even liked Donna's lithe body swaying and her beautiful hair moving in time giving the Dead the feminine energy that filled out their spirit.
