Sir - if you trot or gallop horses on hard cement paved roads your horse will develop a hoof disease known as Navicular Disease and the horse will go lame. Google it please and be aware of it - Always use the side of the road where it is SOFT so the horse's hoof does not strike the hard ground and harm the Navicular bone in the hoof. There is an old saying amongst old horse people like me - No Hoof = No Horse - means if the horse has even one bad hoof then you will have no horse.
