Calvin Theological Seminary President Neal Plantinga discusses the idea of Shalom - a vision of what the world was "supposed to be" and what our role as Christians is in working towards shalom in a world that now is "not the way it's supposed to be." I totally agree with you, and I love what is said here. Even after sin has entered the world and the shalom was shattered, we see glimpses of God's grace and restoration, which is so encouraging. As a Christian, it is our responsibility to be Kingdom-builders and engage in all creation in to restore that shalom and enjoy and delight in God's creation. "There is not one square inch on the whole plain of human existence over which Christ, who is Lord over all, does not proclaim, 'This is mine!'"

Thank you for posting this! I love "human beings were made
to delight." How wonderful that this life with all it's dismay is not
the whole story...the delight of shalom looms ahead of us.
