Dedicated to my favourite underground Pakistani heavymetal band N i J A a T - Prepare For Salvation.....
Nijaat was originally formed somewhere around the mid of year 2003 by guitarist/composer Farhan Hussain and vocalist Awais Hameed in Lahore, Pakistan. The music of the band is pretty complex as its a mixture of various music genres and an unlimited number of real life influences including social, political and spiritual. Its skull crushing rebellion music like the title track Nijaat generated waves of serious controversy all over the underground media that brought the band outside the underworld and put it into limelight. This bands music and specially lyrics changed my whole outlook on life. ..The day I heard their music, I knew there was something very different and unique about them which made me respect them even more in later life...I can still remember the day when they came to Alhamra Open Air, Lahore and roared the stage with their massive heart pounding , bone crushing metal music and soul wrenching lyrics. Lyrics;so true and real like someone has never heard before. This video is taken from that concert. The short-lived band Nijaat carried a tradition of conveying a positive and constructive message in its each and every song to spread hope and raise social awareness in a society shattered by darkness, lies, hatred, deceit . Its hell-raising rebellion music declared war against the fake so-called mainstream media obsessed with cheap nudity, drugs, vulgarity and ruled by power greedy and money hungry mad dogs. With bold, straightforward and deep power ballads like dhola, maut, nijaat, jaago and aaja ,they tried to wake up the dead nation of Pakistan up by singing about the real issues and harsh realities of real life tragedy that all of us go through sooner or later but seldom of us realize as we are all spoiled since birth by the mass corruption of our society infested with lies, materialism and hypocrisy. Even though the debut album Raah-e-Nijaat was near completion, the band founder Farhan decided to dissolute the band due to various personal problems with the vocalist Awais Hameed who was later kicked out of the band due to lack of heavymetal experience. The band also had financial problems and safety issues as its survival was almost impossible in a community mostly obsessed by cheap and vulgar music of bollywood. This is a very rare footage of the band at its prime. Hopefully, you will enjoy it.
I wish you the very best Nijaat. Keep up the good work.Prepare for salvation..
