It has taken the Government several weeks to launch the first concrete move to address the Waki report. The Cabinet is scheduled to meet on Thursday. There is little if any indication of what direction the cabinet is likely to take as regards the report, but recent utterances by politicians on a local solution indicate that the report is likely to be adopted with the possibility of later amendments in Parliament.

  • Agreed, bwanakeino. These politicians of ours are shameless. They know very well they are responsible for the violence, both in funding it, arming it, recruiting and inciting...yet, they can now shamelessly teargas its victims, and continue to parade around in expensive limousines. Shame on you all, waheshimiwa. Shame on you a thousand times, and all the more for increasing allowances and refusing to pay tax when innocent women, men and children continue to sleep in the cold.

  • The Mafiosos are so scared by the thought of Hague justice they hardly sleep. Justice will one day come to the victims of the violence. You can try to teargas them but they now know their rights and the kind of brutes you are.
