Chicks on Speed if your reading this. You deserved every second of this epic boofest. You were the WORST excuse for a support act and how you appeared under James Brown/Peppers I have no idea.

Man, I was content to put up with them being shit and just wait till they left, but at the start of one of their songs one of them said "WHO HATES CAPITALISM!?"

Bitch, are you serious? I paid £50 to be here, and I bet you wouldn't object to people buying your CD's and merch.

James Brown was awesome though.

I was right near the front at this gig in the Gold Circle and saw one of them get hit by a bottle that came from what seemed to be a mile back - they maybe didn't deserve that, but they were pretty awful. I don't really know what posessed the Chilis to get a band like that to open for them - especially in front of a hardcore rock crowd in London. We tell it like it is - and Chick on Speed were told pretty good!

blame tour managers, and the people who organize opening acts, i was at a sort of metal themed gig, and the manager for some reason decided to get a rapper to open up, the poor guy was boo'd off and had stuff thrown at him.

This by far ruined the whole day for me, well that and the nightmare bus trip to london for the concert!!! But at least James Brown made up for it!!! :)

I was at the Manc gig... painful to watch. I'm not sure why everyones blaming CoS for the disaster, this was RHCP's fault. They chose an obscure band because they liked them, offered them a shitload of cash & just presumed everyone would like them because they did. Thats a case of warped ego's.

If using support acts, get bands of a similar style that the audience can enjoy or at least big enough (J. Brown) that people are still happy. CoS suffered due to RHCP's delusions. They where bad tho!

Never seen 'em, I just know I hate the name of the band. Seriously? Chicks on Speed? They weren't even trying! Jesus, they probably could have done better for themselves if they were named The Drugged Tarts.

Actually, that sounds like a BETTER name than Chicks on Speed. There you have it, folks, in all of thirty seconds I came up with a better band name than they could muster in their whole musical career.
