Is it just me or does anyone else tire of seeing "possibly the best special forces unit in the world" tacked on to a description of every special forces unit in the world? For example, Navy Seals, SAS, Spetz Natz, etc. Let's just get them all in a room and play Twister to decide who is best once and for all, please

@FinnRocket Oh please! Don't compare the Selous with Seals or Spetznatz. They aren't in the same league. Selous did a great job on a shoe string budget for a tiny country, but they can't compare to the vast training and equipment of the US/Russians.

Selous were poor ski troopers, unable to perform submarine delivery, no good at arctic operations, incapable of long swims or underwater navigation and demolition and ship mining! Topper: they never found Mugabe or Nkomo!!!

They ruled over you apes while not comprising more than 5.5% of the population and you were better for being under them, much better than under any ruler you could ever produce. The ONLY reason apartheid and the UDI governments failed was because of sanctions from WHITE countries like the US, Britain, and the USSR. Otherwise they would have been fine and you and your family would have enjoyed better lives being their fruit pickers.

@6kram66 yes its silly they are all tier one operators the best there country has and in nato they cross train with each other any one of them are in the top 1% of armed men.

I wish the US had not played politics and sacrificed Rhodesia to not upset the brits. IF we had spent 1/4 of what we did in vietnam I believe rhodesia would have been ok
