  • As far as I can tell, the magic of Mac likes primarily in the elegance of it's OS. If they would license this, it would spread quickly like fire.

  • agreed.

  • personally I don't feel the "warmth" in PC shops, that I do feel in Apple reselling stores. What I mean by that is that I really feel like Microsoft and everyone having to do with Winsows and PCs do what they do 100% for the sake of making money. When I enter an Apple reseller though, I really feel that those people, as well as Apple itself, really care about the user and it's computer experience.

PC sellers are often way more boring than mac sellers.

  • you look so much like ricky gervais.

  • Macintosh looks great. Well, Pre OSX didn't look very good compared to today's OSs. There is an ecosystem. Apple has had recommended software on their site for years allowing us to have trusted software sources. Details. Little details are taken into account for. I don't worry about security. Darwin has stood very solid/secure. The Apple store's support is great no matter where you bought your mac. So it's not one thing that PC users attack. It's many small details here and there.

  • What's magic about it? It crashes when you open a simnple text program Pfffffffffff...

  • So you say, that clever marketing contributes to a classy Premium feel of their products right?

But you realize that it won't change the products technically, hence you know that these systems are rip-offs.

  • For me, its waking up in the morning and knowing that I can say with a 100% certainty that it will not crash, have a not responding error, and I think that is important because right now my Mac is the only computer in my house, which I am completely dependent on. If my computer goes down, I am screwed, I go to online school, no computer, no school, fail.

  • @dexarouskies Exactly, shiny stuff sells. Just like sex. I don't mind the Mac OS. Looks nice, maybe not as diverse as i like it but definetly shiny. Then again there's skins for Win7

  • I dunno what it is about Apple, but I just feel a "warmth" and love you just do tget from PC. I feel the same about SONyas opposed to Microsoft; it's why I prefer the companies; they seem to genuinely care about the consumer :)

  • @Robbinski14 Apple retail staff also don't try and make you buy a load of extra crap you don't want. You go in, choose what you want, the staff member asks you a few questions like "what do you plan to use it for?" then tell you if it's up to the task or not. I've often seen Apple Store staff tell people they don't need the power the model they chose has and recommend a lower cheaper model, I've also seen them recommend PC's to people instead. You just don't get the same pressure to buy lol.

  • @ScottFaunce Find me a windows computer that can satisfy most or all of my needs as a recording/performing musician, out of the box and preloaded. You can't.

  • It's cause mac are the SHIT!!!!!!!
