The Saddest Song I've Got

I think there is a tendency by all of us in the United States, and especially the Bush administration, to overlook the great suffering experienced by the Iraqi population.
I wanted to take this beautiful song by Annie Lennox, and these brilliant photographs, and show you all that war never solves anything.

I am not a dedicated born again Christian like George W. Bush. However, there is a quote by JC that I really like.

The song made me sad, but it was the pictures that made me cry. =(

We watch and we cry, but what will we do about it? Many people agree the war is illegal so why are we not standing up for those poor people? Why are the streets business as usual? We need to do somthing NOW, before they take our rights away.

None argue everyone deserves to say their own view but in general the war in Iraq is terrible so many lives lost :(

Everyone you come into contact with, it`s your desicion to make it positive or negative. Everyone is carrying some type of burden. We all have crosses to bear. Let`s lighten those crosses with kindness and understanding, in our homes, our communities and in our world. World peace is at a critical stage. It`s upsetting to know the tragedies so many people suffer.

I was reluctant to favorite this vide, but I`m a realist. I`ll never understand how cruel and inhumane people can be to each other. I love the human race and I will never understand the concept of war. Start with yourselves ( sometimes I need to heed my own advice too )...kindness goes a long way, just a simple gesture of a smile can brighten someone`s day. Whatever you do, whatever you say, radiates outward like a pebble thrown in a smooth pond, and affects people in ways you will never know.

Our soldiers are coming home- and we rejoice. Yet Obama declares the war is over. War? We invaded Iraq! 10 yrs between Iraq & Afghanistan and what have we proven? So many of our solidiers & innocent civilians are dead. Senseless- we walk away accomplishing nothing. I feel for our troops stuck in either place. It was Vietnam/Korean War all over again. Is this what winning is? There are no winners in war- just who is left :(
