Addictions Unplugged: Food Addiction
This workshop will have us look at how addiction works in the brain. We will look at how we get wired to substances such as drugs and alcohol, and relate this to behaviors such as eating disorders and compulsive overeating. Learn how food is an addiction, just like any drug.
Come learn and talk about:
How and why we get addicted
The process that hijacks our brains in regards to eating disorders and compulsive overeating
How our brain works in our fear and pleasure centers
How to 'unplug' ourselves
