Here are the lyrics to the song so you understand the vid:

It had something to do with the rain leeching loamy dirt
And the way the back lane came alive, half moon whispered "go"
For a while, I heard you missing steps in the street
And your anger pleading in an uncertain key
Singing the sound of you that you found for me

When the winter took the tips of my ears
Found this noisy home full of pigeons and places to hide
And when the voices die, I emerged to watched abandoned machines
Waiting for their men to return, I remember the way
I would wait for you to arrive with kibble and a box full of beer
How I'd scratch the empties desperate to hear
You make the sound that you found for me

After scrapping with the ferals and the tabby,
Let you brush my matted fur
How I'd knead into your chest while you were sleeping
Shallow breathing made me purr

But I can't remember the sound that you found for me
I can't remember the sound that you found for me
I can't remember the sound

Part 2! I dont own the audio from the intro or the vid. Uh...it didnt turn out great, but i like the begging and it kinda goes downhill. At the part with the guys mouth, hes supposed to be calling virtue wearing mittens. Uh...have any questions feel free to ask!

  • so the song is not so much about running away, as it is about death... not the death of the cat but of the owner...

  • ACTUALLY, John K. Sampson (the singer) was talking about the song at a concert I went to, and why he wrote a second one, he said "I couldn't get Virtue out of my mind. I needed to know what happened to him, so I just decided he was going to have to run away."

    FAIL

  • do not be a snob please. The song is open to interpretation, so do not try to shove your opinions on people, mmmmkay buddy?

  • I can totally see how well you have become on animating. The guy who sings the song must think that he's a cat. O__O LOL! You rock and I think you should make a fan site or something. So yeah, I still want you to speed paint but doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Oh well.

  • Also, whoops, I meant "her" own name. Virtute the Cat Explains _Her_ Departure.. I can't be wrong on the internet! Rectified!

  • Also, tigerman5454 is correct. Virtute runs away and winds up in a warehouse ("this noisy home full of pigeons and places to hide," "I emerged to watch abandoned machines..."). As time has passed, Virtute forgets his own name ("the sound that you found for me") and dies (as John K. Samson has stated in interviews). Tigerman5454 wasn't being a snob, that's actually what John K. Samson has said.

  • Oi, great vid, thanks for uploading, but please rename this and the other to "Virtute," not "Virtue." The name of the cat is Virtute.

  • Saaaaaaaad D: Poor Virtue :(

  • FURRIES

  • this song is so sad

  • @OarilebeauO no they were saying that everyone was thinking that was hapen and he was saying it like its the way its supposed to be not like an opinion

  • @tigerman5454 as the rest of us do? so your saying all of us think the same stupid way you do?

  • D: so sad I cried my face off!
