This is my 1980 Twin Bee amphib. Pictures were taken at Lake Berryessa, CA Aircraft has 2) IO360 Lycoming motors and is capable of getting off the water in 11 seconds or the runway in 350 ft. Aircraft was originally a 1946 Seabee and was converted into a twin engine in 1980 by the Stol aircraft company. Model # is a UC-1 and it is a FAA certified aircraft. Total production was 23 with less then 9 flying today.

  • Hi Fastbikekel, She flies great! She is easier to move around on the water then on the ground and is also easier to land on the water then on hard pavement as well.

    Regards, Mytwinbee

  • back off of the music - we're pilots, not jump-joint denizens

  • Hi mytwinbee, what a tremendous machine and a great video too. What cruise speed & fuel does it do? do you have any corrosion issues? When you say "Total production was 23 with less then 9 flying today" I'm guessing you're talking about the Stol twin conversion of the Seabee, not the Seabee itself (of which I would think there are still more than 9 flying)?

  • Great video! Love the Twin Bee! I used one for my ATP-MES. It's amazing how smooth it felt on the water.

  • That is one cool looking crate you got there. Does it fly as nice as it looks?
