How to use Torrents to get free music

A brief guide on how to get music for free by using torrents.

Where to download uTorrent - http://www.utorrent.com/

Written Instructions:

1. Download uTorrent and install it onto your desktop.

2. Search on Google nearly any artist and any album follows by the word "torrent"

3. When you find it, check the tracklisting or files. Do not download any that are in .rar, .zip or have "Read before playing.docx"

4. They should automatically be loaded into uTorrent, if not go into uTorrent and manually open them.

5. Leave the torrents alone for about an hour, you can click X and they will download in the background.

6. When it is 100%, right click and click "View containing folder" Voila, theres your music.

So I'm technologically inept so excuse my idiocy....but when I click "download torrent", I don't get the option to put music into folders (utorrent obviously not itunes!) and make it gorgeous like yours. It just directly starts the downloading process. What's the go?

@imogenm92 I don't know, but after the download is completed, you could right click on it and select Open containing folder, this would take you to the folder where your album has been downloaded. You could then move these around to make them neat and in place. Make sure you move them before importing into iTunes or whatever music program your using.

why not just use frostwire its the best . iv been using it for bout 2 years and i never had a problem

The torrent websites and way the files work enable you to download, if need be, thousands of files while only downloading one. Frostwire, you will have to download .zip or .rar format, leaving you more succeptable to viruses. Torrents enable you to see exactly the files you are downloading, extremely lowering the threat of viruses.
