@ClocksR1 It's time to turn that confidence into experience!
Work smart man! A lot of that shit is really heavy, but you can doo eeet!
One thing I didn't cover was removing and installing the flywheel. Mitsubishi has a crank alignment tool that braces off the lower control arm to hold the crank still from the timing side (if the engine's still in the car). There are cheap equivalents, expensive ones, too. Crankshaft just has to stay put while you put 98 'lbs on all of your flywheel bolts.
Is it hard to convert an awd talon to a 5 speed? I cant see it being harder than rebuilding an engine! I can get a 98 buts its an auto.

@Matsci101 If you watch my latest video, the shifter install works pretty much the same way except you can use ALL factory bolt-in parts and they'll fit. I put a DSM shifter in a Colt. I've also installed a clutch pedal from a manual-transmission car, and I'm modifying the brake pedal to fit.
You will need everything from the gearbox to the back of the car because the gear ratios are completely different. I'd save the trouble and keep digging until you find a 5-speed.

This is a stock car and only has 68 thou on it. Its so hard to find a 5 speed, and the only ones I find a fwd with auto. So I figured I need to look further. The parts are there for sure!

@Matsci101 Heck with it man! Look up levelten dotcom. Click the Mitsubishi logo. Problem solved. LucasEnglish is layin' down 9's and 10's with a turbine about as big as a big16g with an auto 1g. I don't know who did his transmission work, but a lot can be said about a well-built auto trans. There really isn't much difference in price when you consider what a race built manual costs. It's far more consistent if you want to win money bracket racing. ;)

@ClocksR1 Found it. Go to ebay. Search 4g63 crank tool. It works on 7-bolts and helps you properly-torque your new flywheel on. (ツ) b
