My uncle, who lives in Germany, had a brain tumor removed from his head. Because he was a German citizen, he did not have to pay a dime. Try getting an American insurance company to pay for such a procedure.

@rightwingpatriot2 Now I have a huge hospital bill and trying to figure out how I'm going to pay it. Now I have a pre-existing condition and will never be covered for it. We are people, not merchandise off a shelf for profits. Insurance and drug companies are all in it for the money. No one should be denied health care. We're human beings, not animals. I would never put a price on a person's life. I hope this never happens to you.

I'm sorry this situation has happened to you. I'm stuck with crappy work insurance because I cannot get a good plan on the "market" which is what so many of our politicians want us to do because of my "pre existing" conditions. The fact of the matter is health insurance in this country is a scam to line the pockets of executives and share holders with profits made from selling sick people healthcare and medicine. Its a corrupt system and it needs to end soon before it ends us.

I was a US Army tank commander during the first Gulf War. After looking hard at the Canadian system as a comparison, it seems Americans are brainwashed into being fearful of a socialized healthcare system. I didn't fight so that Americans could be so ignorant. We now have to fight for our rights. 18% of our GNP is going to healthcare, so we're going broke too.
