  • Thank you for showing me how to do this. I found a program online that can make custom mouse cursors, and two animated busy cursors I wanted to make probably wouldn't have come to be without this being a step in the process.

  • @DanMat6288 RealWorld Cursor Editor is great for making cursors.

  • What video files can GIMP take? I keep downloading videos onto different formats but it keeps saying it doesn't recognize the file types. I even googled/bing'd/yahoo'd it and got no answer.

  • @XxkataangnaruhinaxX When you download a video you haft to keep it's file type. If it's an avi leave it as an avi don't rename it, which is why you got that error. Also if you need to convert it convert it using Format Factory or go to online-convert . com For right now just stick with AVI until you understand file formats.

  • i dont have a video option

  • It won't open AVI or any other file formats I tried. The same message keep appearing ''Execution error for procedure 'gimp-file-load':

    Unknown file type''

I don't know what to do.

  • i get that same error as that other guy. no matter what file type i try to open, .avi, .flv., whatever, it says unknown file type and wont open

  • I didn't rename it though. And it still won't read any .avi fles either.

  • @mikethedj4 but I did all of those things, kept the format and converted to avi but it still doesn't recognize any file formats.. :(
