Bluesology 1965 with Reg Dwight (Elton John) on piano. This song was the B-side to the Bluesology single "Come Back Baby", which was written & sung by Reg Dwight, who later became Elton John. "Time's Getting Tougher" is a classic blues number, more representative of what the band played regularly actually, and featured Stuart Brown on vocals. The 18-year-old Elton played a great blues piano!

  • I played this one with Long John Baldry, from 86-93, interesting hearing it with Reg on piano, great playing.

  • @Seattlecarnut ...

Elton was the pianist (of course!) and part-time singer ...

This one is sung by Stuart Brown (the guitarist) ...

    Cheers

    Rob.

  • @pit2ryan3 It isn't? Which one is he? What role does he play in the band?

  • @Seattlecarnut ...

It's not Sir Reg singing here, though ...

  • Sir Reg is awesome both playing lead vocals and background vocals, not to mention just playing an awesome blues piano! Why their music was never released is beyond me.

  • Bluesology subsequently became Long John Baldry's backing group for a time. The Bluesology singles are extremely collectable these days and I am extremely grateful to you for posting these since this is the only opportunity I have had to hear them - thanks!

  • Wow. I wish Elton would make a remix of this.
