@7ReyZor That's not my point. You're right! Today's cars are not made as well as older ones, but the trade could be beneficial in the way of resale value and, if it's a sweet enough deal, could get extra money in his pocket and get back the truck he wanted and make some adjustments to it. That was my point.

@jcbiggs Actually, I'm willing to bet this guy actually has some brains, and realizes that todays cars are pieces of shit. They make everything out of plastic to lighten (and weaken - so it doesn't last as long) it so they can weight it down with more stupid features.
I drive a '99 safari (which gets 20mpg on a 4.3L v6, btw), and let me tell you, it doesn't NEED anything else. It has AC, heat, power locks and windows, and a stereo. It's the only extras you need in a car. Plain and simple.

thats nothin my 4 litre v6, litlle limited jeep grand cherokee is on 345,000, kilometres haha... only problem ive ever had is that DAMN all time 4 wheel drive.

I got a Stock 96 explorer I wouldnt trade it for nothin, it has 312,000 miles on it too! still runs like a top
