How do you go about the midpipe set up? Do you need to buy the ones that come with them? Can you connect the headers without them to the stock cats? I have an 04 and looking to go a similair route, but I really would like to spend as little amount of money as possible.

I bought the cutout from jegs for 80 bucks a piece (roughly), and I put them right after my LT's before the cats. the cats actually reduce alot of sound, and I didnt want that for the track.

Really really easy to put in cutouts...installing LT's is a bitch, u have to drop the rack and come in from below. And id recommend to place your cutouts before the cats for much more sound and routing a seperate piping from that further back bc if you have it ending right by the LT's...you can say goodbye to hearing...its extremly loud
