I think I mentioned a long time ago that this piece is a favorite of mine--and didn't you record it earlier on with the rest of the suite? Anyway, there are now several versions on YouTube, and they are variously too bland or too slow or just generally lacking the sprightliness of this version. Thanks, Val!

Thanks a lot Brian, making people happy with music, what ask for more ?
Best regards

Val - I know I've commented on this before but I've just listened to this again (and again) - it makes me SO happy!!! Particularly on a cold and snowy night.
Merci!

I doubt it Val .... it'll take me a long time to reach that tempo. Maybe when I'm 90!

I don't know how to read lute tablature and that is the only scores I could find. Does anyone have this piece in standard notation?

@sledprepin
Reading lute tablature is really easy. Look for Wayne Cripps lute site, there is a page on how to read lute tabs.
Good luck !

Ciao Val... just discovered you searching for Dalza Piva I first heard on Angelo Branduardi's Futuro Antico V. Really wonderful! And it's a great emotion to see it played.... you can enjoy music more watching magic hands flying on instruments... Thanks for posting!

Thanks, Val. That was lovely. I wish somebody would record a full CD of Dalza's lute music. Maybe they think it's too risky. :-)
