Naproxenum, the creator of Tetris used this song as the theme. That is why you think it sounds the same.... Oh ya, Tetris was originaly created it Russia which would be the reason for using this song.

misha smirnov is a good folklore player and singer in russia .. he released an album called beyond the don river in english contains many of lovely folk russian songs.. i really liked it
